I tandem nursed while pregnant and during his sister's first year. It not only helped with bonding with his sister, but made him feel that he was not pushed aside because of a new sib.
Now with baby girl #3, I am doing the same for my middle daughter.

I still wish my son would nurse. It gave us quiet moments together that I miss those cuddles and hugs. It always soothed him, we called it the magic boob! Could stop a tantrum in less than .03 seconds!! They are only this small once, enjoy it. I know it is hard but as they get older you will ache just to have them looking up at you with their beautiful eyes while nursing and falling asleep with one hand on your chest.Lyndanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-928691692997483316.post-12390696356287156672010-04-08T00:37:19.134-05:002010-04-08T00:37:19.134-05:00thank you for your post. we are only 9 months int...thank you for your post. we are only 9 months into our baby's life, but i am imagining him nursing at his high school prom. hooray for the online support community!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-928691692997483316.post-26353652349672255302010-04-08T00:31:29.560-05:002010-04-08T00:31:29.560-05:00you are not alone. my 22-month old son shows no si...you are not alone. my 22-month old son shows no signs of weaning and wakes up every couple hours during the night still. we co-sleep so it's easy. i wish the nursing in the night would end, but this will all end soon enough. at 45 years old, he's my one and only. keep it up awesome mama.mary annnoreply@blogger.com
